Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave je najstaršou a najväčšou univerzitou na Slovensku, ktorá bola založená v roku 1919, pričom sa skladá z trinástich rôznych fakúlt pokrývajúcich široké spektrum oblastí ľudského poznania. Doteraz ukončili štúdium na univerzite s akademickými titulmi desaťtisíce študentov a stala sa skutočne národnou univerzitou s medzinárodným uznaním. V súčasnosti má približne 23 000 študentov študujúcich v rôznych špecializáciách a formách študijných programov. Fakulta managementu Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave je súčasťou najstaršej, najväčšej a najprestížnejšej univerzity na Slovensku a je najuznávanejšou manažérskou a biznis školou v krajine. Agentúra Eduniversal ju tiež niekoľkokrát ocenila ako „Excelent business school“. Jedným z jej kľúčových zameraní je podnikateľský výskum, podnikateľské vzdelávanie a poradenské činnosti pre malé a stredné podniky. Poslaním Fakulty managementu je produkovať kvalitných a konkurencieschopných absolventov, ktorí sú schopní pracovať v tímoch alebo zastávať manažérske posty v rôznych organizáciách. Poznatky, ktoré fakulta poskytuje svojim študentom, sa neustále rozširujú a vďaka vlastnému vedeckému výskumu a vývoju sú neustále aktualizované. Katedra stratégie a podnikania je národným koordinátorom projektu Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). Katedra založila a vedie Poradenské a rozvojové centrum pre mikro, malé a stredné podniky. Katedra tiež úzko spolupracuje so Slovak Business Agency, Združením mladých podnikateľov na Slovensku či Univerzitou tretieho veku na rôznych projektoch zameraných na rozvoj podnikateľských schopností a riadenie mikropodnikov. Katedra tiež aktívne participuje vo vedeckom parku Univerzity Komenského (VPUK). VPUK sa primárne zameriava na oblasti molekulárnej medicíny, environmentálnej medicíny a biotechnológií, a tak poskytuje priestor pre podnikateľské aktivity prostredníctvom svojho inkubátora. Projekt ENDURANCE koordinuje Fakulta managementu, Katedra stratégie a podnikania, avšak sú do neho zapojení aj pracovníci Fakulty telesnej výchovy a športu, čo odráža prepojenie medzi podnikaním a športom a zaisťuje interdisciplinárny prístup. Fakulta telesnej výchovy a športu je najstaršou a najväčšou fakultou v oblasti telesnej výchovy a športu na Slovensku. Jej cieľom je nielen príprava špecialistov z oblasti telesnej výchovy a športu, ale aj z oblasti výskumu o športe. Okrem akademického vzdelávania poskytuje fakulta aj niekoľko vzdelávacích ponúk vo vyššom a ďalšom odbornom vzdelávaní a príprave pre športových trénerov, inštruktorov alebo učiteľov.
School of Advanced Social Studies is an independent research-oriented higher education institution in the field of social sciences, located in Nova Gorica (Slovenia), on the western border of Slovenia with Italy, and close to both Austria and Croatia. The School’s strategic vision and thematic focus on high-level applied research in specific areas of EU studies is shaped, first, by the intercultural space in which it is located, secondly, by the transnational character of the region, which has traditionally nurtured strong cross-border linkages and, finally, by the region’s successful, smart and inclusive transformation from traditional industrial and rural region to one with high value-added industry and tourism, in which knowledge played the key role. The activities of the School are guided by strategic orientations towards interdisciplinary, internationalization, excellence, and applicability in teaching and research. During the short period after its founding in 2006, the School has managed to attract and consolidate a highly qualified and ambitious team of mostly younger researchers and university teachers. In terms of measurable scientific achievements, this is currently one of the leading social science institutions in Slovenia. SASS has full accreditation for BA and MA courses as well as for doctoral studies. SASS is providing degree-awarding courses at undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. levels in social sciences, media studies, and psychosocial counseling. SASS is not only an internationally connected leading national center of excellent social science education and research, but it is also strongly embedded in the local, regional, and national environment by conducting high-level basic research and relevant applied research for businesses and public administrations at local and national levels.
Regional Development Agency of Northern Primorska Ltd. Nova Gorica is located in Goriška region of West Slovenia. RDA was established by 6 municipalities in 1999 in order to unite all local, regional and national potentials and to realize development projects financed with national and international resources. The RDA covers an area of 6 municipalities The area has 60.000 inhabitants. The main city is Nova Gorica with 32.000 inhabitants. The University of Malaga (UMA) is one of the main institutions of higher education in Spain: it is the first of the Spanish universities involved with the SDGs and the number 40 in the world, according to the Impact ranking of Times Higher Education. Since its founding in 1972, UMA has expanded its prestige and international presence and today has more than 35,000 students, 58 Bachelor's degrees, 53 Master's degrees and 22 doctoral programs, as well as more than 200 degrees of its own. Its activity is carried out in 2 campuses in which they teach and research more than 2500 teachers in 23 faculties and schools. Slovak Business Agency (SBA) is the oldest specialized non-profit organization for the support of SMEs in Slovakia. SBA was founded in 1993 by a common initiative of the EU and the Slovak Government. It is the unique platform of public and private sectors supporting the growth of Slovak SMEs for more than 25 years. SBA is a member of the EEN network and has a long track in international projects in topics: start-up support, innovation and cooperation support, women entrepreneurship, clusters, circular economy and social entrepreneurship. SBA is currently implementing two key national projects aimed at support of SMEs as well as non-entrepreneurs, 1) National Business Centre - Bratislava region (for capital city region) and 2) National Business Centre in regions (for 7 self-governing regions outside Bratislava). All these centres serve as one-stop-shops, providing comprehensive systematic support and expert consultancy in form of group professional activities like seminars, workshops, discussion forums, etc., as well as short and long-term individual mentoring support for SMEs as well as non-entrepreneurs, thanks to which SBA disposes of a pool of experts, mentors, contacts and agreements with various local and international stakeholders that deal with the business support issues. In the Bratislava centre SBA runs a business incubator & accelerator, as well as a creative point.
The ‘Gabriele d’Annunzio’ University, established in 1965 as a ‘Libera Università’, became state-owned in 1982. It offers 1st and 2nd cycle courses, PhD courses, and also post-graduate courses including: Master’s Programmes, Specialisation schools and Specialist training courses, with around 36.000 students currently enrolled at UdA. The Department’s tenured academics and researchers come from diverse areas including Physics, Medicine, Physiology, Psychology and Economics, and are involved in interdisciplinary projects with a common goal: to increase our understanding of human biology and in particular the brain, using advanced imaging techniques, some of which have been developed within the Department. To this end, the Department is closely integrated with the Institute of Advanced Biomedical Technologies and the Centre for Research and Advanced Technologies, two university research centres dedicated to imaging and translational medicine respectively. IHF, Institut de Haute Formation aux Politiques Communautaires asbl, is a non-profit organisation established in Brussels (Belgium) in 2003. The principal aim of IHF is to provide the community (including non-profit and local authorities) with assistance for the development of a wider international cooperation through activities of specialised training on European policies and the dissemination of European values. One of the means to reach this objective is the organisation of highly specialised courses and seminars focused at the development of European projects. The courses focus on EU Policies and Legislation, International Relations and Project Management, promoting the possibility to participate in EU-funded programmes. IHF organises also study groups to Brussels for young graduates, local authorities’ representatives, SMEs, Universities, promoting mobility activities at different training levels. Since 2004 IHF organised more than 40 study visits to Brussels for more than 500 people. IHF took part as associate partner in previous EU funded projects, contributing mainly to Disseminaton and exploitation activities. IHF provides further assistance through continuous monitoring of EU legislation and European Institution activities, and consequent spread of related information, assistance in the search for partners and building up of networks. Thanks to its presence in Brussels IHF asbl developed relevant experience in the organisation of Dissemination and Valorisation activities at EU level, through contacts with MEPs, other European associations and Institutions, stakeholders, consumers groups etc.
IDP, with branch offices in Italy and in Brussels, was established in 1996 by partners working since 1991 in Brussels in the frame of EU policies and EU funding programmes. It relies on more than 20 years of experience in the development, submission and management of successful EU projects. Since 1999, IDP develops and carries out also specialised training courses for VET and Adult learners focused exclusively on EU related issues (EU Institutions, policies, programmes, project management etc), delivering an average of +1000 hrs/year of training to +550 adult attendees/year. IDP organises also study visits in Brussels to the EU Institutions or the participation of groups of AL to major EU events (such as the Open Days of DG Regio); moreover, it takes part in all EU events held in Brussels (Info days, conferences, meetings etc) and has regulars contacts with officers and representatives of Brussels-based Institutions, practitioners, associations and projects. As a training service provider, IDP organises, manages and delivers high quality specialised training for Local and other public authorities, focusing on the various aspects of project management, planning, financial management, implementation, fund-raising, etc In addition to serving the public and third sector, IDP offers services to institutional clients from both national and regional governments. Moreover, IDP is currently a contractor of the EU Institutions/Agencies having been awarded in 2010 two contracts on the basis of competitive bidding.
