We accelerate development, innovation and the translation of science into business so companies can offer quality jobs that create high added value and prosperity.
At {Rudolfovo we take our mission “co-create, share and transfer high-tech knowledge to partners in the economy” very seriously. We pursue it through research and development in four research teams (Centre for Advanced Technologies, Centre for Digitalisation, Centre for the Circular Economy, Centre for Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Rights) comprising 40 researchers, as well as technical and professional staff from 6 countries. At {Rudolfovo, we have a lot of valuable research equipment, organised in five laboratories: {LabTOP, {LabX, {Lab3D, {LabM and {LabE. The laboratories are available to all in-house and external researchers under transparent conditions. In addition, we have several leased patent databases, giving us a clear overview of intellectual property in most areas of current interest.
We pursue our vision of becoming a cutting-edge high-tech research organisation and the link between science and its effective application in practice through industrial, research and development projects. After two years of active work, we can now boast 15 awarded industrial projects for local businesses, with three publicly funded research projects and four development projects. We are particularly proud of our industrial project with Iskra Pio, for which we received the Golden Innovation Award from the Chamber of Commerce of Dolenjska and Bela krajina and the Silver National Innovation Award. We are very optimistic about the future. We are winning ever more and bigger projects for the local industry. Through our internal early innovation process, we carefully generate new R&D ideas and then prudently develop them into projects. We enter into Horizon Europe project consortia and other international programmes with the aim of generating results that will resonate in the scientific community and in the corporate sector. With the in-house digitalisation project, we have been approaching our goal of nearly zero-paper operation. The support of the whole community is required for the successful establishment of a public research institute. At {Rudolfovo, we feel this support and we will do our best to ensure that the positive effects of our activity are noted in the entire community.
